Christmas Joy To The Wells

Christmas lights, decorations, a light show on the Opera House and a festive family trail are aimed at attracting visitors into Tunbridge Wells.

Joy To The Wells - that’s the festive theme this year in Tunbridge Wells town centre.

There are Christmas lights, decorations, a spectacular projection on the Opera House as well as a trail and competition that enables you to visit some 50 festive displays around the town.

Listen to our 4 minute audio report here:

The initiative - by the Royal Tunbridge Wells Together Business Improvement District - aims to attract shoppers, visitors and those looking for food or entertainment into Tunbridge Wells at what many businesses consider the most important time of the year.

Joy To The Wells complements other festive attractions, such as ice skating in Calverley Grounds and the popular Pantiles Christmas market.

Alex Green of Royal Tunbridge Wells Together (pictured below) tells West Kent Radio's Brian Johnson that there’ll be something for everyone during the festive season.
