West Kent and the Paris Olympics

Athletes from Pembury, Sevenoaks and Tunbridge Wells travel to Paris

The 34th Olympic Games begin later this week, with several athletes from West Kent taking part.

Emily Craig (Rowing)
Together with her partner Imogen Grant, Emily from Pembury are major contender for a medal in women's double skills.

James Peters (Sailing)
In his first Olympics is James Peters, born in Tunbridge Wells. He is taking part in the skiff 49ers class

Freda Black (Sailing)
Freda is from Goudhurst and partners Saskia Tidey in the 49ers women's skiff class.

Eva Okaro (Swimming)
Coming from Sevenoaks, Eva will compete in the women's 4x100m relay.

Katie Yates-Brown (Judo)
In her first Olympics, Kaite is from Pembury.
