Sevenoaks Slows Down

New 20mph limits are being imposed in Sevenoaks

Summer 2024 will see new 20mph signs erected in parts of Sevenoaks.

Starting on 12 August, new 20mph signs will be erected on various roads in the Sevenoaks town and area. Installation is due to be completed by 1 September.

Although the signs will be added gradually over a six-week period, the new limits will not be enforced until 1 October. From that point, fines can be imposed.

The funds will come from the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) paid for by developers and no money will be used from council tax.

The cost of the signage is budgeted at £153,456, with an additional £25,000 spent on a new zebra crossing on Dartford Road.
