Revival of Shop Parade?

Could this dilapidated parade be brought back to life?

The small shops on Railway Approach close to Tonbridge station have been an eyesore for many years.

Tatty, unkempt and a poor advert for the town.

There are plans being prepared by Tonbridge Borough Council and the landlords, to look at refurbishing the shops and offering them to small businesses.

Historically, the small shops have not attracted business rates, which is a saving for anyone interested in one of the units.

In May, several TMBC councilors met with landlords to discuss the shops. Since then, plans are progressing, with funding being sought to refurbish the buildings.

Anyone interested in renting a property should contact Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council in the first instance.
