A suspect has been arrested following the discovery
A suspect has been charged after drugs and cash were recovered by a police dog in Tunbridge Wells woodland.
On Saturday 13 July 2024, neighbourhood officers were in Hornbeam Avenue when they saw a man acting suspiciously.
A police dog was deployed and a rucksack containing cocaine, ketamine and cannabis was located in some brambles.
Officers also seized more than £1,400 in cash, two mobile phones and a knife.
An investigation into the contents of the rucksack and phones led officers to arrest a man on Monday 22 July.
Charged
Aden Maynard, of the Hextable area, was later charged with supplying cocaine, possessing cocaine with intent to supply, being concerned in the supply of ketamine, being concerned in the supply of cannabis, possessing cannabis with intent to supply, possessing a lock knife in a public place and possessing criminal property (namely the seized cash).
The 21-year-old was remanded in custody to appear before Medway Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 23 July.
