Local Carpetright Stores Not Saved

Stores in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells all likely to close shortly

Carpetright was placed in administration on 12 July.

Since then, rival Tapi Carpets have purchased the intellectual property, website, two warehouses and 54 Carpetright stores. They did not purchase the remains stores from the liquidator.

The 54 surviving stores are listed on the Carpetright website, but do not include any local stores.

This means that the Carpetright stores in Sevenoaks, Tonbridge and Tunbridge Wells were not part of the rescue and are likely to close shortly with the loss of all jobs.
