Giving Box Raises Over £3,000

Trinity Theatre and Nourish Food Bank benefit from donations.

The large Giving Box inside Royal Victoria Place has been quality raining money for two local Tunbridge Wells good causes.

Since its installation outside Trespass, visitors to the centre have been able to pledge £1, £3, or £5 towards the causes.

A total of £3,062 has now been raised.

Nourish Food Bank

The Nourish mission is that ‘no-one need go hungry in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.

The consequences of food poverty can be far-reaching, including increased crime, loss of tenancies, mental health problems, and family breakdown.

The Nourish charity can help provide more positive outcomes by offering a period of respite and an opportunity for change.

Trinity Theatre

Trinity is more than a theatre. They want to improve the health and wellbeing of Tunbridge Wells through their community outreach programme.

Initiatives include, ‘Trinity Encore,’ a choir for those living with dementia; ‘Senior Cinema Social’, aimed at breaking the cycle of elderly loneliness in Tunbridge Wells; and communication development activities delivered into schools by our Youth & Learning team.
