Star of stage, screen and cinema, Dame Patricia has starred in the West End and on Broadway, in roles written by the greats from William Shakespeare and Alan Bennett to Steven Sondheim and Richard Rodgers.
Best known perhaps for her role as the nation's favourite battle axe, the frightful Hyacinth Bucket in the BBC sitcom Keeping Up Appearances, the Alan Bennet monologues and the wonderful character ‘Kitty’ on ‘Victoria Wood as Seen on TV’.
In this revealing interview Dame Patricia tells us why Shirley McClean wasn’t best pleased with her, how acting with the Sydney Poitier was a delight and how the opposite was true about comedian Jerry Lewis!
Dame Patricia Routledge was due to be in conversation with writer and broadcaster Edward Seckerson in ‘Facing the Music’, at the Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells on Sunday 8th June however the show has been CANCELLED.
