Police have launched a murder inquiry after a man was fatally injured in Caley Road, Tunbridge Wells, early on Saturday morning. Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the scene at around 3:15 am, following reports of a disturbance. Witnesses are being sought, including any CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage. Roads around the scene remained closed over the weekend. Inquiries are ongoing.

Saturday was support a local business day, to help local shops following the pandemic. Shops across West Kent reported brisk business, just three weeks from Christmas Day.

Members of the Runway Training team slept outside last week, with just sleeping bags and cardboard boxes for warmth. The night event was to heighten awareness of homelessness and raised over £1,000 for the Tunbridge Wells Mental Health Resource charity.

Kent Fire and Rescue are warning householders to take care of their natural Christmas trees., If they dry out, the trees can become a fire hazard. To avoid a blaze, trees should be watered on a regular basis.

In this weekend's TW Lotto draw the winning numbers were 3 5 9 0 2 8. There was one top prize of £250 for matching four numbers.

In local sport, a poor weekend for results. Rusthall FC took on Deal at the Jockey Field Stadium. losing by four goals to nil.
Tonbridge Angels new signing, Jake Embery took to the pitch, away against Slough Town, with a victory for the hosts at two goals to one.
Hawkenbury were away to Green Street Rovers in the Sevenoaks Charity Senior Cup, losing by three goals to two.
Tunbridge Wells FC played Holland & Blair at home in a no-score draw.
In rugby and Tonbridge Judians travelled north to meet Leeds Tykes, with a scoreline of 21-19 to the home team.
And in basketball, the Sevenoaks Suns beat the Archers by 73 to 54.
