Tonbridge and Malling Council have abandoned their housing plan. The plan was rejected by the government, saying that it failed to meet the need to work with neighbouring council areas on housing, The plan is believed to have cost over £750,000.


Sevenoaks Council is asking residents to help shape the future of local services. The results of the survey on the council's website will form the next edition of the Community Plan.


Tonbridge Grammar school is now accepting applications for their sixth form in 2022. As well as academic education, the sixth form also looks at careers and higher education.


Kent Police from Sevenoaks has been touring the area with their knife crime awareness stall. The scheme is to discourage the carrying of knives in the area.


In local sport this weekend, Tonbridge Angels take on Chelmsford City at home in the National League. Rusthall FC are away to Tower Hamlets. . . and on Sunday, Tunbridge Wells Foresters Ladies take on Stenying Town at home.
