The Jay Harmer Foundation is a local society based in Pembury that supports childhood and teenage cancer charities and the families of young cancer sufferersas well as support for research into the prevention and treatment of cancer in younger people.
Set up in 2018 in memory of 19-year-old Jay Harmer from Tonbridge, who foughtcancer for 7 years, the Jay Harmer Foundation supports 10 cancer charities through a range of fun events and challenges. The society even has two race cars,that run on oval circuits, and is looking to hold more fun events to raise money to provide gifts and equipment to cancer charities on behalf of Jay.
